One World Singers is an historical community chorus in the Denver Metropolitan Area.
The One World Singers chorus performs a wide variety of choral music and collaborates with many other choral and instrumental ensembles. Our home is in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver, at the landmark St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 2201 Dexter Street. While we sing in a church, we are not a choir. Our chorus welcomes everyone who wishes to sing. Auditions are for section placement only. If you are interested in auditioning, please call Helga at (303)355-7472.
On May 9, One World Singers will perform "The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace". Written by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins for the Royal Armouries Museum to commemorate the millennium, The Armed Man is dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo war, but its themes transcend cultural differences. No one can walk away from this performance without a renewed commitment to work for peace and tolerance in our world!
Tickets will be available for this concert by mid-March, 2015, so please check back at that time and reserve your place! The concert will be at our home church, St. Thomas Episcopal.
Other recent One World Singers concerts include "Christmas in Provence", "Musicals That Changed The World", "An Evening of Spirituals" with the Bennie L. Williams Spiritual Voices; "Caribbean Christmas Mass" with Pan Jumbies Steel Drum Band; "Turn the World Around", with Rocky Mountain Ringers; and "A Festival of Carols", with the Colorado Korean Chorus.
